Earning the ExpertRating Wellness Coach Certification demonstrates that you have completed structured training in wellness and coaching fundamentals. The National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching offers the NBC-HWC board certification. Eligibility includes completing an NBHWC-approved training program, documenting 50 coaching sessions, holding an associate degree or completing 4,000 hours of work experience, and passing the board examination developed with the National Board of Medical Examiners.
NASM offers a separate Certified Wellness Coach program with self-paced online study and an examination.
