How do I take an Exam

Taking an ExpertRating exam is quick and simple. Just follow the following steps:

1.Purchase an exam voucher from an Authorised Reseller in your city, or purchase an exam online through the site.

2.log on to www.expertrating.com

3.Pick an exam you would like to appear for by clicking on the link Take an Exam.

4.You will be asked to fill in various details related to yourself as well as the Exam PIN contained in the exam  voucher. If you are buying an exam online with your credit card, you will not require an exam PIN.

5.The exam will take approximately 40 minutes to an hour to complete.

6. Your result will be displayed immediately and you will be able to view your online score sheet.

7.You will be sent a high quality, mountable hard copy certificate within 3-4 weeks of successfully completing the exam.

8.You will be allowed privileges such as use of the ExpertRating Certified Professional Logo on your resume or visiting cards, ExpertRating job club, automatic emailing of your marksheet to employers around the world and ofcourse you will receive the hardcopy certificate.

9.Your Online transcript will be available from the moment you complete your ExpertRating Exam.

Disconnected from the Exam:

The procedure for restarting from where you left off is very simple. Login to your members area and you will find the exam displayed in your exam list with the status mentioned as incomplete. Click on the "resume Exam" Link to continue from where you left off.

What is the duration of each exam:

The exam takes an average of 40 minutes to a maximum of 1 hour to complete.

The results will include you score in percentage as well as the percentile score which will help you find out how you stand relative to previous exam takers.

You can appear for an ExpertRating exam any number of times. However you will have to purchase an exam each time.

What are Exams like:

The format of the exam is mentioned below :

Type of Exam : Multiple choice with one or more correct answer/s

Duration : 40 minutes to 1 hour.

Number of questions: 40

Negative marking : NO. You do not get punished for guessing.

Question weightage : All questions carry equal marks

Navigation : You can go back and answer unanswered questions

Answer review: Yes, you can review the questions at the end of the exam by going back and answering marked questions.

Exhibits : Some exams will require you to answer a question based upon an exhibit

What is an Exam PIN and how is it to be used:

An ExpertRating exam PIN is contained in the Exam voucher or is delivered online when you buy an Exam from the site. The Exam PIN contains a unique code that must be fed in at the time of taking the exam. The PIN enables the exam and is proof of payment for the exam as well as the hardcopy certificate. The exam PIN can only be used once.

Will the Exam PIN expire:

The Exam PIN will expire after 6 months after the date on the voucher. You are advised to take the exam immediately after purchasing the exam.

How do I Buy an ExpertRating Exam:

ExpertRating exams can be purchased in two ways.

They can either be purchased using a credit card from the ExpertRating website. To buy an exam in this manner, first you must choose an exam on the site, after which you will be guided through the steps to pay for it.

Exams can also be purchased from ExpertRating Resellers in countries where credit cards are not popular. To buy an exam in this manner, you must contact an ExpertRating Reseller in your country and purchase an Exam PIN from him. You can then choose any exam from the ExpertRating website and feed in the PIN to enable it.

How much does an exam cost and how do I pay:

The fee of each exam differs. ExpertRating exams can be purchased online through secure credit card transactions. All major credit cards are accepted.

Can I get a refund for the Exam Fee I pay:

No. There is no provision for a refund. However the exam may be reconducted incase of an error due to Expertrating. In such a case the test taker must send an email citing the error and requesting for a new PIN.

When does my certification Expire:

All certifications are valid for a period of 1 year. The exam taker must get him/ herself recertified after a period of  one year to remain certified.

What is the Hardcopy certificate?

The ExpertRating certificate of accomplishment is awarded to all successful Exam takers. The certificate is of the highest quality and is capable of being mounted. The cost of the certificate and surface mailing charges are included in the Exam fee. The certificate takes aprox. three weeks to 4 weeks for delivery depending upon the country you reside in. The certificate is issued by ExpertRating, UK but may be mailed to you from any country geographically closer to you.

ExpertRating certified professionals the world over have used the certificate to their advantage by presenting it to prospective employers and recruiters as proof of thier expert status. The certificate is an invaluable proof of the fact that your knowledge and skills are at par with the best.

What is Expert Level Certification:

If you are able to score 80% or more in your exam, you would be elligible for Expert Level certification. Your hard copy certificate will have the words Expert Level printed on it as proof of the fact that you are in the top 10% of all test takers.
