Are there any provisions to prevent cheating in online ExpertRating tests? |
|
|
ExpertRating is the only internet based testing service that offers a remote proctoring technology to eliminate cheating. There are two different testing modes available for employers:
LiveProctor Mode Standard Mode
LiveProctor Mode: LiveProctor is ExpertRating's proprietary technology that helps to prevent cheating in remotely conducted online tests. LiveProctor is based on Microsoft's ActiveX technology and requires the test taker to attach a webcam to his/her computer. The LiveProctor application automatically downloads to the test takers computer and remotely monitors the testing session. Each LiveProctor test is priced at 25 credits. During a LiveProctor testing session, the following information is monitored by the system: -
- The applications running on the test taker's computer
- The keys pressed by the test taker
- The number of times the test taker disconnected or logged out from the testing system and the IP address that was used each time
- The geographic location, ISP, time zone and the local time of the test taker
- Random screen shots of the test taker's screen
- Webcam shots of the test taker while taking the test
You can get more information on LiveProctor and how it helps to prevent e-cheating at the LiveProctor information page.
Standard Mode: The standard testing mode doesn't use remote proctoring technology. The test taker doesn't require a webcam and the testing session isn't remotely monitored. Each standard test is priced at 10 credits.
